On The Move Therapy is a mobile physical therapy practice on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Recognizing the benefits of treating patients in their “home” environments, Satoko Sasaki and Reyn Kurihara founded the practice in 2011.
Your "home" environment is anywhere you are. Our mobile physical therapy services are beneficial not only to patients who have difficulty leaving their homes, but we also help athletes return to their respective sports by integrating rehab into their competitive environments. Mobile physical therapy allows us to assist our patients in overcoming their problems by addressing issues that may only be apparent when they are in their home or work environment. The most effective way to solve many physical therapy ailments is to identify the problem at the source. Often a patient becomes frustrated because they are not able to elicit their symptoms while at a clinic visit. By treating you in your home, work or sports environment, we are able to observe and evaluate the exact activities that may be giving rise to your injuries, and assist you in overcoming them. What better way to treat a surfer with a shoulder injury… than to be in the waves alongside them… Or to treat a parent with a back injury… by correcting the home activities they are performing. Our practice delivers quality in-home care to our patients when there may be difficulties with making appointments at a clinic due to lack of convenient transportation, recent surgeries, high risk of falling, or even for patients that just prefer to stay at home. We specialize in orthopedic and neurologic physical therapy and are also experienced with serving geriatric and pediatric populations as well. Our treatment techniques and protocols are always evidence based, and we continually improve our professional skills through post-graduate training and certifications.
